Sherjan was newly designated as Blood Center Head of the SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Blood Center that covers 2 administrative regions - Region 12 and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) with a catchment population of around 11 million. He is the Chair of the Sustainability Committee of the Cotabato Regional and Medical Center that is overseeing the implementation of green/sustainability projects in the hospital that have won awards for best practices. He advocates for continual quality improvement of hospital services through the Ibadah-friendly Hospital Certification Program that is now implemented in the at least 32 hospitals within BARMM that addresses diversity, inclusion, and equity (DEI) in hospitals.

He is also involved in human rights as trainer of the Istanbul Protocol (UN Guideline on the Medical Documentation of Torture, Extrajudicial Killings, and Enforced Disappearances) as well as medical certification of death for proper documentation of cause of death and to improve vital health statistics - mortality data.

He is also a lecturer on Islamic Medical Ethics in College of Medicine of Mindanao State University General Santos City.
