Ratawit Ouaprachanon is an educator at Mahidol University’s Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies.

Peace, justice, and conflict transformation in Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand have been the underlying themes of his work and studies over the past decade, and in his current role he conducts research on political reconciliation and conflict transformation in Thailand.

Earlier in his career he was involved in a peacebuilding and governance program in Myanmar, facilitating a learning process for civil society groups and communities concerned about community empowerment and non-violent conflict resolution.

He also engaged in cross-border campaigns and advocacy to Thailand’s National Human Rights Commission that focused on the impacts of Thai investment projects in Myanmar.

Ratawit has used games and other innovative approaches to develop leadership skills and mobilize community participation.
