Phetdavanh Leuangvilay is a public health professional serving as a Technical Officer with the WHO Health Emergencies Programme in Lao PDR. With a background in medicine and public health, she has over a decade of experience supporting emergency preparedness, outbreak response, and health security strengthening. Her work includes coordinating national reactions to public health emergencies, including disease outbreaks such as dengue, anthrax and COVID-19, enhancing surveillance at Points of Entry, and advancing the International Health Regulations (IHR) framework. Coming from a rural background, she is deeply committed to inclusive, multisectoral approaches that prioritize vulnerable populations during crises.
